A few years ago, I came up with the idea of starting a collective of artists: painters, poets, authors, musicians, directors, photographers, etc. I originally thought to start it up with members of the art community in Mexico. But as I started working with people through Powys Media: photographers from Vietnam, painters from Newport beach, musicians from Mexico, authors from the UK, I realized that I could form a collective that would span the globe AND diverse artistic media. This idea being to allow different artists to work individually or in groups under a single banner on any project they'd like to release under that banner. Utilizing the talents and knowledge of their fellow members. Well, it now exists (like a newborn babe) and it is slowly expanding its membership. Check out our myspace page at www.myspace.com/tecamachalcounderground to listen to our first few musical tracks (including a few from the upcoming THB soundtrack!). You'll see a few THB names involved. There are even some retroactive contributions. We realized that we'd been working on things like this for a few years and so now those works are part of the TU catalog. Check out the artwork by Vicente Gallegos-Aguazul and Cesar Gallegos (no relation) that was used as the cover artwork for John Kenneth Muir's novel, THE FORSAKEN. Who knew they'd all be members of TU now?
