Craig, welcome from the fans. Glad to see some new blood has been introduced into the "House". Just a few questions. What made you decide to join the cast as a full-time member? How did you know this was something you really wanted to do? Have you had any previous acting experience? Also, how did your first season go? Did you enjoy the experience? My curiosity was piqued as soon as Sam introduced you as Sgt. "Dexter" Brick. That name does not bode well for the other captives in the "House". I can hardly wait to see how John develops your character. My head is swimming with all the new information we have been given so far this season. John, you have told us several times that "the best is yet to come". You have certainly made good on your word so far! Thank you!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! Well, John first approached me at a convention that was held in Portskouth....can't remember now if it was FantaSci or Monster Fest. He and I had chatted before a few times, but we had since become friends, and gotten to know each other's personalities. . We had just finished watching episode 1 of season 1, and he said that he had an idea for a militaristic character and he thought I'd be perfect. I immediately asked him if he was feeling well, but was flattered to be considered. I told him yes, and from there things kinda just flowed. Like most of the cast and crew, I'm a huge movie buff, so I was interested in the technical side of a film project. I had acted when I was very small in a preschool play, but no other real performing since then. The first season was very hectic. I had to learn about 6 scripts, and then convince myself that I could actually say the lines! I was pretty good friends with all of the actors except Alicia, who I had met only briefly at the premiere at the convention. I also didn't know any of the tech or production crew at all. Fortunately, when everyone got together down there, I found everyone to be very patient, accepting, and a great bunch of folks all around, and I now consider them all friends. On the other hand tho, a lot of folks fell ill during the shoot and that put a strain on things, and there were some tense days. I am definitely glad that I spent time in the house at the end of the universe tho.... Thanks again for all the kind words - keep watching, and keep the comments coming!

I'd like to second the "Welcome".
Maybe with Sgt. Brick in the house Bill and Travis can be kept off each others' backs, but I somehow doubt that.
You definitely seem very comfortable in the role and are doing great for someone who hasn't acted since preschool. All I've ever done is play an extra in a schlocky movie that hasn't been released yet and that I probably won't even be seen in. What I learned about that is in motion picture terminology "extras" means "movie cattle"! moo...
Oh, I did audition for a local dinner theater on a whim. Had to read lines, sing (argh! can't sing...) then read lines with an accent. Very nerve-wracking to do in front of only about a dozen people, so I can only imagine how you must've felt at first in front of all the crew and a camera!!

Thanks again for the warm welcome! I don't foresee any force known to man being able to keep those two away from each other. But it'll be fun trying!
A lot of the mannerisms, and the way Brick acts and carries himself, I took from my everyday life. I had served in the military, and have some other related experience as well. I am just very glad that everyone seems to be enjoying what I did, and I am humbled at all the positive comments.
Man, I give you a ton of credit for the singing....please don't expect to see Brick do a few numbers from Brigadoon or Chicago any time soon- I think the idea is to attract viewers, not drive them away! When I sing, it sounds like someone threw a handful of quarters into a blender.
Seriously tho, if I hadn't been so comfortable with everyone on set, there's absolutely no way I think I would have done nearly as well. One of the clearest memories I have is the first time I ever blew a line, and just stood there looking goofy. In my mind, I half-expected everyone to not react well at all. What happened in reality was everyone ended up being really supportive, and saying that I was now an official cast member!
